Re: Another Q for planning purposes - Sat lunch?
I see nothing wrong with a decent breakfast, then skipping lunch TBH. So I'll take the option of sorting myself out, and if I go hungry, I go hungry.
Thanks for the thought though. |

Messie do you have an idea at this point what the cost of lunch is likely to be ?

Re: Another Q for planning purposes - Sat lunch?
The tea rooms told me they could do anything we asked, at whatever price we wanted. So could be plates of sarnies or a cold buffet for example. Dishes available would be up to us dependant on cost. They do have cooked meals and a carvery type thing, but they cannot seat more than 50 and they would have to close the whole place for us. That would cost us a bit I think and take a while.
What would people want and what would they be prepared to pay?

Re: Another Q for planning purposes - Sat lunch?
Sandiwches, a Brew and a packet of crips / chocolate bar would do me.
That costs me about £3 from Asda at lunchtime, so anywhere in that region I reckon would be OK...

Re: Another Q for planning purposes - Sat lunch?
Hovis - as I said in the brekkie thread, and having confiirmed it with Landlord, it will be a brekie on the go, so to speak. Bacon butties, egg butties, tea, coffee is about it. The place can't seat us all at once, and we want to make a prompt getaway.
As to those who want to skip lunch, well fine, but many people won't want to. Judging from response so far I'll persue the sarnie route with the tea rooms. There may be another option yet of someone bringing sarnies to u, we'll see.
