Just out of curiosity, how have you connected the heated grips?
If you haven't wired up a relay-controlled distribution block, then I highly recommend it. It ensures the grips are OFF unless the distribution block is powered, which only happens when the bike's lights (or however you've tapped into the bike's wiring harness) is on. (The taillight is easy, so things are ON when the lights are ON, and OFF otherwise.) And this setup keeps the accessories from draining the battery. |

ok folks had another quick look last night but had to stop as the bloody washing mashine has started to leak!!!
Anyhow on idle i get 14v to 13.8v at the battery. however when its running at 5k with or without the lights it drops to 13.2v strange? |

Have you checked alternator output? Possible something is breaking down under load though unlikely.
Should be 70VAC+ at a couple 1000 rpm. Want me to pop up and have a gander?
