It's not as daft as a question I read on another forum recently
'How can I tell if my reserve tank has any petrol in it?'

I could post you a lunch box full of my nail bitings. The joy of a flexible spine is the ease at which one can bite ones own toe nails!

Before one can understand the answer, one must first understand the question. However, some philosophers have speculated that neither the answer nor the question can exist in the same universe at the same time! Should it ever happen the universe will instantly reshuffle into something even more inexplicable!

Oh by the way new person, welcome to SV Ownership. I too have a funny switch wired into my dash. Mine is not for heated grips though, but is for the cooling fan after the thermoswitch in the radiator packed up. A simple switch cost a few pence, a new thermoswitch costs a significant number of your English pounds though...

So what's your technique Jayne? Are your eyes glued to the temperature gauge, waiting for it to overheat before flicking it on, or do you just leave it on all the time for extra thrust?
