As long as you don't make the bike look too much like a police bike you're ok, otherwise you might get nabbed for Impersonating....

Personally, white bike, white helmet and hi viz, that's your choice and fine, you're simply doing the most you can to make yourself visible.

If you started putting orange and yellow stripes along the fairing etc, then I think Her Majesty's Constabulary might start feeling imitated and irritated!

Could never condone that lol, although I know some people do.

I thought you were referring to the mirror jousting lol

as for high vis jacket, didn't exactly have blue lights or "POLISH" written on my back but it just happened to be a blue & yellow high viz Will be wearing it when I commute from now on

(I didn't think it looked too much like a police bike but some people do have bad eyesight )

That *definitely* doesn't look like a police bike - it looks damn nice though!

Back in the early 70s my dad had a syndicate pools win, not a massive amount, but enough to buy a brand new, white Vauxhall Viva. After about 5 or 6 months of proud ownership (he even joined the Vauxhall Owners Club) the bonnet came undone on a drive and folded itself in half on the windshield.

Dad got a replacement bonnet from the breakers as they wouldn't warranty replace it because they said he'd neglected to latch the lid down, only problem was the replacement was black - you should have seen the amount of cars that got out of our way when they saw a white car with a black bonnet in their rear views!

I used to see a bloke on a Pan Euro most mornings when I commuted to work and he wore black leathers, white lid, police style hi-viz vest and even had battenbergs on the sides of the pan. No one got in his way!!

he clearly has his bike decked out to impersonate john q law, surely? why else dress up like a tit?

used to see one of those on my commute up the M3, he really bugged me! nothing worse that pootling along at 71mph and seeing something in the mirror that looks suspect, letting him by to see McAllisters Breakdown on the back of his hi vis...
