It doesnt sound like its caused by me setting up a local microsoft network so another computer can use my printer then, does it?

Will try these things when get home.

Oh, and another computer using the same router which has never had VPN also has same problems.

My email connection to UoB mailserver via the Mulberry prog is also grindingly slow.

Apparently everyone else is fine.
