I dont think there is much difference in protection, whoever you will find that they all vary in comfort and wind noise.
You shoudl get the lid that fits your head shape best HTH

That's a great price for those HJCs... But like's been said, the best helmet is the one that fits. You'd be better with a £40 Arashi than a £300 Arai if the Arai spins on your head
I would say, I hate the Arai venting system... The Condor I bought is a really nice lid, very comfy, and it's lasting well too. But the vents are rotten- very fiddly to operate (the brow vents are a joke, i can't work them at all with gloves on) and the anti-fog visor-crack thing is such a pain to disengage (it basically locks the visor at about 1-2mm open, but I find it very hard to unlock with gloves on, so if I start to steam up like that it's bad news. Only the top and mouth vents are easily usable on teh move and they're not very effective. The HJC ZF8 I owned before was pretty nasty, but it had far, far betetr vents, and because the visor was notched you easily could set it at whatever level you wanted- instead of being stuck with one hard to use setting.

Cheers Mogs, just got it.
A little reading for htis evening - although from the quick glance it look slike the raid II is going to be my preference (Assuming that it fits my head ok...) Thans again all for the info. Much appriciated - feel like I'm buying this helmet armed with much more info than the previous one... |
