They sound OK, the Cobra at Goodwood last year, you didnt so much as hear it, but feel it, it was rumbling through the ground and was vibrating my spine.

They are nice, but I much prefer the wail / shreik of a nice V12...

If it wasn't for the sky high UK fuel prices, and the crazy £405 annual road tax for "High emmision vehicles", my daily motor would be a fully loaded Crown Victoria Intercepter model with the 4.7 V8. Driven sensibly they do a respectable MPG for being a V8

My cousin in Canada bought an ex police unmarked one with the full leather at a police vehicle auction cheap. Loves it for the space, comfort and that gutsy police tuned V8 engine.. high mileage, but if the motor's been regularly serviced, and looked after, it'l run forever

My regular work ride is an Irish Scania V8 truck with the twin alloy stacks at the back of the cab. I love the sound of them as you accelerate the big 16 litre V8 diesel. Sweet....

Yep, that sweet unsilenced sound, but with twin vertical alloy exhaust stacks (1 each side at the back of the cab).

Hear me coming over the hills going to the ferry at Stranraer & Cairnryan each night...

I'd buy a muscle car just for the sound! Would have to go for the gorgeous (although typical) Shelby Mustang GT500, or the stunning AC Cobra! Want to rent one when I do an american road trip - thinking New York to Miami!?

Nice I once followed a cab to boxhill (not so safe to overtake) and the driver was proper going for it! It sounded really cool, all deep and rumbly like it was just gonna pull and pull

Really quite fast without a billion tonnes of crap to tow aswell
