Lorna - don't think I hadn't thunk that! I plan to do a bit more travelling over the next few years and don't think a naked would be suitable (don't like stick on screens either, sorry!).

Mr Poons Esq,[Double etequette] List the things you want in a bike Upright riding, chain or shaft, slow, med, fast, does it have hard luggage so on,and then eliminate what doesn't fit the bill till you end up with say 6 possibles and then have a long test ride on them Are you using it to commute or just scratching, maybe even planning a biking break
I am presuming your SV is low mileage so whatever you buy, will it have to last or is it up for change at the end of the warranty? Depreciation or hold its price

-------------OR JUST BUY WHAT YOU LIKE ------------------Choices choices

Lorna: Funny enough I used to love them when I were a nipper! Can't see myself on one now though!!

Mac: Obviously that's what I am in the process of doing. It won't be for commuting though.

I traded the SV for a 955i Sprint ST definitely better on the back and wrists. Ongar are pretty good at allowing demonstration rides even on the second hand stuff, I haven't ridden the 1050 so don't know what the riding position is like.

The 955 has lots of get up and go and as Mac described it the other day long legs, I have taken mine up to Edinburgh and will be again in June.

No idea mate. Will get a dealer to look it over when I arrange a test ride somewhere.
