Adjuster bolt? no there isn't one fella... tensioner is assembled from the other end. The M6 cap bolt is just there so you can put a lock piece in the back while you bolt it in.

Ok that's right, but manual page 3-104 shows to install tensioner body first, then mount "spring holder" (or "cam chain tension adjuster") bolt.
If it works like this, one doesn't need the "locking tool".

What manual. What year bike.

The pointy ones are different, the curvy ones you definately need to hold the plunger back when fitting the tensioner otherwise you will break camchain.

I've never actually done a pointy one, so it would be silly of me to comment.

But I just checked the curvy manual too. They efectively mention the special tool procedure over there. The curvy's tensioner's installation is not described with use of a special tool: the tensioner is installed with 2 bolts, then the spring and central bolt are just screwed in. Remains to be ssen if there is still place to screw it in
I can barely reach it(front cyl.) with my hands.

I've got one in my hand now, just looking at the manual.

Yeah you're supposed to remove the spring, unblock the ratchet-mechanism, push plunger back, reinstall, then spring& spring holder bolt.
If this is right, under the central bolt there isn't probably an "detension-screw" and "tool-blocking grooves" ?

The curvy one is totally different to that, the cap bolt is far smaller, the spring held inside the body, removing the cap bolt does not release the spring. Curvy one is held together with a circlip on the inside of it.

I know the manual refers to the bolt as an adjuster bolt but it's really not, actually have a look at one and see how it works you'll see what I mean.
