I'm thinking along similar lines John. If it's too icy here it'll be pretty tricky getting out along our lane to the main road. Lets make a final decision tomorrow morning.

Maybe meet midday. Give the sun a chance to warm up. Have lunch at Davey Jones instead of breakfast.

That sounds potentially more do-able. Hopefully our lane will have thawed by then. I suspect we won't get much further than Barmouth and back though given how soon it gets dark now.

We've postponed this because of the icy roads. Don't know if I'd make it out to the main road without mishap.

I was thinking of nipping out this afternoon if it stayed sunny but it's cloudy and cool. Maybe I'll just stay in and watch the F1.

For what it's worth, same here (near Macclesfield). Minus 3C this morning. It's just thawed now but roads are still wet and filthy with salt etc. The thought of having to wash the bike after a short ride is putting me off.

I thought the same. 1hour riding and then another washing.
