Thanks for the advice guys - I think i'll go with the sliders as I can always remove them. Just trying to decide if it's worth getting a one piece instead of separate trousers.

44 waist is too big for me. I'm about a 30-31 inch wast, which translates to an Alpinestars size 38 - this is a real pain in the butt as I'm yet to find a shop that actually has this in stock!

Long term plan is to eat more pizza.

2 piece is more convenient, 1 piece is cooler.

1 piece is cooler for the track. 1 piece for road use makes me laugh. Not sure why.

I've got both a one piece and a two piece.
The one piece is defiantly comfier to wear all day on the bike but the two piece is better if you are planning to do many stops.

i bought alpinestars apex trousers last year, im a 30" waist so got usa size 32 eur 48, but wish i had gone one size bigger as no room to put on weight. they do fit very well but i do have to keep going to the gym, just so i can fit in to these.

Hideout leather are the mutts nuts at alterations thou so will be taking these there in a couple of years (when i hit 30)

Like mentioned, mine came with knee sliders however I've removed them until I decide to try a track day and even then, they're unlikely to kiss the tarmac if I manage to stay on the bike.

And a good point about the zip. You'll get away with 3/4 zip I believe, worth checking with the track you plan on going to.
