In the company wagon unfortunately. With the mileage I do, the boss wouldn't like the tyre bill for the bike.

Thats a shame cos if you were on your bike I would`ve offered to take you out and about somewhere. If I were to come into city centre and show you round some of the better bars I would be in no fit state for early start at work on Friday unfortunately. Next time you`re here pm me in advance and I`ll find out what`s on in town and meet up with you somewhere. I can also try and get a few of the other local(ish) peeps together as well.

Thanks Claire, that's a really nice offer. I have to inspect our teams at Mann Island once every 4 weeks so I may take you up on the offer next time.

You're lucky! my bosses won't spring for anything more than the Premier Inn so the PI at Albert Dock it is for me. LOL! The only other reason I use that specific hotel is because parking is included till midday so I can walk to Mann Island and not pay for any additional parking...

Have you checked out the Staybridge Suites which are in the same locality as your PI

Thats where I'm staying tomorrow night and all week from 23rd May.

I get a good rate there, although I'm not sure what they charge for car parking, but it does have its own CP.

Rooms are really nice, free wifi, cooker, dishwaher, microwave, fridge. So I go out and buy what I want and cook it in my room. Sounds crazy, but then I'm not restricted to hotel menus.

Its part of the Holiday Inn group, but far better than any of their over priced hotels.

Don't know what you pay at PI, but Staybridge aren't expensive because their overheads aren't the same as a normal hotel.

go to the entrance to albert dock where the premier inn and the beatles experience is.... walk through it so you're actually through in the albert dock, turn left and walk along the dockside past all the shops, you'll come to the corner where you have to turn right, do so, keep going about 5 or 6 shops up, there's a little independent cafe...
