SORTED
 Problem was that folders were not created under /media My misunderstanding as to how the fleepin thing works  @Moffatt666 as a beginner I find Ubuntu very easy and very close to windows. I managed to get it all setup first time but then my HDD died hence why I had to do it again But since I got Ubuntu I haven't logged back into windows
