I interviewed just short of 30 people (incl telephone - thats loads of fun...pain) - and those whose voice said "I'm not sure of myself" were those that were sifted out first. The rest, 4, came in for a chat.

Get with it, and get on. If you don't sell yourself......who will?

True, true...

I hate interviews im carp at them but in a mock i had at college i was told it went well, and that i took time to think about things to answer questions, tbh i thought it went awful hated every minute of it and also at the end of got told i use one word a lot, cant remember what it was but i think it was "quite"

I can manage it only really had one proper interview and i think that went ok (although i didnt get the job )

I'm sure many here will think "leaving an F1 team, are you mad?" but at the end of the day its what you get out of it personally that matters. Doesnt matter who the company is, if you are enjoying yourself then thats what matters.

i'll admit my heart dropped when you said public sector and where i think you are going to - as thats where i work and the scottish councils are shafting everyone at the moment

Who did you work for btw?

I enrol at kingston university for my PhD tomorrow. I start on monday I was doing a PhD at ucl, but i was very unhappy there. I left when maria said she's never seen me so unhappy and so down for so much of the time.

I am also taking great steps to improving the SV. I am also going to buy a completly new front subframe and totaly new fairings for it at some point in the future...I want it back looking as it was before its fight with a Citroen C5 - the bits on there now I can use as trackday panels
