must do my grips as well, although gone through most of winter now, I have to admit, I am a little edgey about doing anything like that to the bike.

whats wrong with it.. i taped it up so it wont get water in it, its rated to 5 amps the same as the fuse in the heated grips IIRC, and solves the switching issue?

was it the spelling or do you have any words of wisdom? I was planning to hard wire it but it got dark and i havnt seen the person since who's bike i did it to.

Scotch locks are just a disaster to happen. Soooooo many times have i rectified these god damn things with proper crip teminals at the least. Soldering is better.

I will agree with you they are not the best sollution,, however i was trying a coupla wires as tbh the electrical diagram is a bit.. er... well you know..

Sadly i shant see this person again to rectify it, but as long as it works, then i was happy!

Not really sure... seems to be working just fine. Though as the end of the oiler tube is cable tied and on a metal mount it is easier to adjust. Just got to get the flow rate right now.

How is yours set up? I've got a pointy too and have glued it to the bottom of the swingarm, out of sight. The only trouble i'm having is getting the oiler within a couple of mm of the chain. Can only get it to about 5mm away, maybe need to warm it up and try to re-position it.
Also, how do you know when the flow rate is right? I originally set it to 2 drops per minute but this covered the back wheel in oil. I now have it set so there is hardly any fling onto the back wheel, my reasoning being if the the oil is being thrown off the chain it can't be lubricating it. Chain seems ok after 4k miles like this.
