I'd guessed that. But as he had the chance to look it over and effectively confirm he was happy with the physical condition I don't think that will be the main issue here.

Keep us posted Allan as we've all probably come across something similar before. For me it was a "full service history" car that was nothing of the sort and a "one previous owner" that did not mention it was a pre-reg by the delaer, making me owner number three, not two.

Reg Vardy once tried to sell me a car with one previous owner, tried their best to stop me seeing the V5. The one previous owner...Eurocar

Chain dealers often claim not have the V5/service book in the local branch. I insist on seeing the docs now before I buy or I walk away.
