Oh by the way new person, welcome to SV Ownership. I too have a funny switch wired into my dash. Mine is not for heated grips though, but is for the cooling fan after the thermoswitch in the radiator packed up. A simple switch cost a few pence, a new thermoswitch costs a significant number of your English pounds though...

So what's your technique Jayne? Are your eyes glued to the temperature gauge, waiting for it to overheat before flicking it on, or do you just leave it on all the time for extra thrust?
