But with the debts united have got, should the banks not be grabbing the money before Glazer gets his sticky mitts on it.

Beyond that football is a business, players are commodities, united made a profit on him so what is the problem

I don't like football, so I think all players should be on less anyway. This guy is not as good as hes supposed to be is he?Isn't he supposed to be a dummy throwing a*hole? or am I wrong? In which case its way over the top.

Depends on your point of view:
If your a man u fan then he's a genius, skillful more than most and knows how to play the rules to his advantage.
If your a suporter of a team playing man you then he is as you described above.lol

If your honest and a neautral then you have to say he's world class and it'll be a bloody shame if he leaves English football.

I'm a United fan, and yes he throws his dummy. And no, he is not even that good, he had a very purple season this season, plays when he only wants to play.

To rate him as a great player, you have to understand his style of football, his creativity, he can pull this off sometime, when he wants to. As a creative, attacking footballer, yes, up there with the best, along with Messi, Ronaldinho and Kaka, but IMO not better than any of them.

But, IMO, a great footballer all round is somebody like Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, Michael Ballack or Wayne Rooney. They do not only attack, they defend and do their bit for the team, never give up, they can also bang in a few cracking goals and do a great job of controlling a game. Ronaldo has always been a one man band that goes alone and says fook it you lot can defend this. Once or twice I have seen him chasing back this season. As with Dimatar Berbatov, he took the critisism like this, and in his first game he was given to improve, the man was all over the pitch as he knew his neck was on the line. Ronaldo on the other hand is arrogant/ignorant, whatever you wanna call him, he knows open arms will welcome him at great teams.

My Facebook status basically says, £80million, pah, he's not worth it.

I dont know why people are so fussed over how much money footballers make. Its a huge business and up to them what they do with the money. Im sure anyone on that sort of money will do the right thing by donating some of it.
He isnt a slave because its his own choice.

Yes, I see what you mean. I don't pay attention to football at all. I seriously think that footballers should be paid less, as they would earn their money rather than having clubs pander to their 'queen' like way(interperate that as you may). I think if they had to work for their money then they would produce far better football, and it would be a far more gentlemanly game, as its supposed to be.

Still wouldn't watch it though

Cards on the table......... you might not know that I'm a Red Manc

My view is that he's made it clear that he wants to go. SAF can't spend every summer distracted by trying to persuade him to stay. £80m? Off you go, son. Good luck, thanks for all you've done and see you when we meet in Europe.

With regard to TW's view, Utd have debts but the banks are happy with the financing of these. The £80m is availabe for players if SAF wants it.

Frank Ribery will do for starters
