I've just done the same spent 4 hours cleaning the Gixer, just to put it to bed for a few months...

It ain't the cold wet and carp that bothers me its just I'm lazy and hate cleaning the bike afterwards...

Having said that I'll be out for the ICE CREAM RUN as always.

And trust me there is deffo salt out, there was salt on the exhaust and rear end when I washed it at the weekend. A lot of the country roads have been gritted.
Reliably informed today that they have started gritting in Perth, so Dundee can't be far behind....
Quite right if you don't like it but as for the salt/grit... nobody more reliable than Mike. He drives gritter trucks and he says they haven't been out yet. Your probably getting fertilizer wash from the fields from winter barley spraying.
