I feel for you, that's the exact same reason I sold my Gixer Thou, and then the 955i Daytona that followed it after suffering a mini-stroke. Much more at home on the SV now.

I've chopped in the D650. It was too good a deal to miss. I collect my new bike on March 1. It looks like this (not me riding it):

Yup, you're right, the best way to ensure you will crash your bike is to sell it first, but keep riding it.

Ed,Is there a waiting list or more or less off the shelf? I like the 675Trip but they recon up to six months for a specified bike so I'll keep my 955i for another year

No wait. It's actually last year's model - a masterbike edition. In stock, I opted to delay delivery to March 1 as I don't usually ride much in Jan and Feb and it seemed a good idea.
