is that 1 of them we gear indicator things that u mont up at the dash and it tells u wot gear ur in???its not part of the standard loom or anything that blue bit sure its not?

no, its basically stuck in place of the gear position switch to fake the gear position to the ECU. Normally the ECU retards the ignition in 2nd and 3rd gears for noise/emissions regs, this basically prevents that ignition retardation.
Its just a plug in unit that you add to the loom. You can also make your own using instructions in the FAQ section of this forum. Its only there because it was fitted when I bought the bike so I cant vouch for its worth. I will be putting the bike on a dyno test session pretty soon though when the race prepping is finished. One of the tests we'll be doing is to measure the difference with or without this unit. Mike |
