Make sure you post everything with a signed for, tracked delivery and this cannot happen.

No Paypal here.
I rest my case. Anyone who lists on Ebay as Paypal only doesnt get my business.

![]() Back to the OP, I have heard cases of transactions being reversed up to 2 years later. Why has the money been removed? Has the buyer lodged a complaint? Or was there a problem with their card? I know its frustrating but as long as you have done everything by the book and sent the item with some form of proof of posting so you can prove it arrived then you should get the money credited back to you. However, if the buyer was not a confirmed buyer then you may have a bit more of a fight on your hands. Try looking here Good Luck! Gordon |

Paypal is safe and has protection. BUT its buyer protection not seller protection.

That's a bit worrying. I'm about to list a whole load of bike parts in a major garage clear out. I think I'll be opening a seperate bank account and using that solely for paypal transactions after hearing about this. For years I've been really paranoid about anyone having access to my bank details and accounts after my then (now most definitely ex-) wife stole £24,500 of my own personal savings from our joint account and buggered off to Australia to set up home with her new bloke. I'll never see that money again.

yep, same here, i know enough people that have been left out of pocket by paypal's laughably abusable system, if the selling doesn't accept cheque or BACS and refuses to even after talking to them, then they don't get my business, and i'm sure the several folks who i've bought stuff off on here would agree non-paypal tranfers are hardly painless, IMO far more secure, and free...
