Personal opinion - it'll look poo.

Solid colours on all bikes which have that whole 'enclosed fairing' thing going on almost always look kinda wrong. Just too much colour if you get my drift - nothing to break it up and leaves very little line for the eye to follow.

Admitedly the whole 'shell-suit' approach that Honda had wasn't the most asthetic of schemes, but there you go.

If you are going to do a respray, then perhaps consider keeping the distinctive look and just changing the colours. Candy blue base with silver/gunmetal decals perhaps - or vice versa, graduated blue decals with a dark silver base.

Just a thought.

Only joking, I'm sure someone will come along and do a proper job on it.

Another vote for leave it alone, or at least get another set of plastics and spray those, that way you can put it back to standard when / if you come to sell it.

I quite like it like it is, but then my bike does have blue seats so what do I know about colour schemes.

Totally agree with you. The early 90s were a time of bad taste paintjobs that are best left in the past, but the CBR would look pretty cack all one colour. I'm planning on doing CBR trackbike all white bodywork (cos that's what colour the fibreglass track fairing and seat come in, won't need painting) with huge red Honda wings up the fairing and tank, like the first of the injected models had and leaving the wheels black with maybe a red pinstripe round the rims..

Leave it be. Reminds me of when I had one when it was nearly new. It really was the coolest bike around at the time. Tiger stripes. Grrrrrr.
