erm, no! (its not normal, i tell you!) i cover 1000 miles per week mon - fri and dont clean the bike till i get home on the fri. doesnt do any harm.

I carry a rag so I can clean my lights and mirrors before I set off from work, when its been disgustingly dirty and hard to see through.

There being the difference between clean and maintained.

Seen a few low mileage bikes that are completely f###ed, despite being meticulously clean.

I carry the standard toolkit and a packet of three under the seat. If it breaks down and I can't fix it...f**k it!
