And about 20 years out of date ... 'tappetts' haven't really been used in jap bikes for at least 20 years!!

Ok oil level is fine was changed about 2000 miles ago, as for revs noise loudest when idle but gets quicker while revving when riding hard cant hear it anyway cause i've an art can on and its loud

lol, its fine mate.. id just let it work as it is.. if your really scared about it take it to a dealer to service, or just to their workshop for them to have a listen

Mine's always ticked a bit when it's hot, the valves are in spec, so I figure it's fine.

Putting a race system on it and a cut-down can solves the issue entirely.
