Mine is a curvy, I am not sure of the geometry differences or the resonate frequency's from the pointy frame, both could have impact on the requirement of a damper, but no, I've never had need for a damper on my curvy on track

What do you think the total cost will be of the bike by the time your done? How races will you do this year, which club are you with as well your up north so I'm guessing its not Bemsee.

I saw a thread on the yahoo mini twin grop about dampers, the general think was you don't need it on the SV as its doesn't power have the power of the 600 sports bikes, I guess itn personel choice but I would rather spend the money on a track day!

Its a bit of a guess but I reckon the total cost including the bike will be around £2750 but there were a few things I did that you could do cheaper so a few niceties thrown in. Tyres would be on top of that at £200 a set of Pirellis, although I have a friend you works for the Pirelli BSB tyre team so hopefully might save a little.

I'll be doing around 7 meetings covering Anglesey and Oulton Park with maybe the odd track day here and there for practice if funds and time allow!

I race with the Wirral 100 club in the North West.

nah, thought I'ld leave it looking like that

of course! havent really decided yet but as I like the existing tank colour (Grand Candy Blue is it?) I might go for that. I have to use yellow background panels for the race numbers so think it might look good.

either that or combat camo all over

IF you are paying for the spray job, then GCB is going to work out real expensive for you ... its got a silver base coat you see ...

Ah, I didnt know that. I did think there may be a slight shimmer from it so that must be the effect.

As its a race bike it deosnt need to be showroom condition, just nice. I have a compressor and spray kit so might just give it a go. It'll be covered in stone flecks anyway after a weekends racing
