The trouble is, most race cans with baffles are designed to be used open pipe, then they basically whack a cork into it to make it quiet for noise tests- which is fine if you then take it out but it tends to mean the cans sound pretty ropey and muffled with it in. Remus are an exception to this, they sound as good baffle in or out I think.

Get a remus with a removable baffle, it still has the great V-twin rumble with the baffles in as it does with the baffles out (it's just quieter at higher rev's). If you want to splash out a bit more then go for a LeoVince, very well made and the quality lasts! Also sound good with the baffles in like the Remus. The Remus exhausts are the cheaper of the two! |

Someone is biased to Remus and Leo-vince
![]() I had a scorpion and that kicked out a very nice tune, then had a Blueflame Stubby and though it was loud I thought the scorpion sounded better... |

<--- Remus Revolution Oval Carbon, baffle is unused and in the house somewhere.
I just love the sound and to be honest it's not too offensive sub 3k rpm so the neighbours dont get an earfull in the morning (the folks living about 100 yards down the road do tho :P). Other zorsts sound equally as good or even better but i love my remus ![]() |

For some reason, Remus got BASS. Akras are the same.
For me anything IL4 could be a car engine. Why I would buy a Scooby over a sexier lookin'Evo. InFact...... I would buy the country of Spain over these two tho', as for a "race weekend" it appears to be for the majority it is a requirement to "boot yer can tae the back of yer garage. And go OPEN. Thursday-Monday. Appears to be perfectly socially acceptabtabley. Downpipes, fattycan left in the hoose, R6 at yamahafactual 22,550rpm is party central. ![]() |

I'm less baffled about baffles now and more confused about what is the best 'bang for my buck'?
Also where to get these cans from? |
