What ever reputation I am getting just now must not be very good. I am ok people, but my ego is non existant just now. I shall now go back to my little hole I was hiding in.

I think you'll find everyones been quite kind (apart from the sniggering from the back!).

Main thing is that you are ok. Kudos for the foreign bruises!!

We'll just have to get you out on track over here very soon!!

its about $200 without the discount.
South African trackdays are also silly money - about £20 for a day at a top rate circuit!

Why oh why do i still live in the UK?!

I see no reason for kudos, I screwed up and decked a bike, and worse one I didn't own. To say I am feeling bad about it is an understatement. I am however thankfully in one piece, although my nice summer gloves are no more. Still I have the other pair I traveled with. Good luck with the track day today people.

Raf, glad you're in one piece. The rest is just money, and dollars at that! What happened to cause the off?

That track looks a peach. Took my little 675 to Silverstone the other day. Lovely. Can't imagine having an R1 on the track.

Have a good road trip.

Don't be silly. We all do our best not to screw up but it's inevitable that there's going to be the odd mistake. A lot of the time we get away with it, sometimes we don't. Being wholly pragmatic about this, it's not like you can change it after the event, so best foot forward and try to work out what went wrong so you don't get caught out again.

Be good to see you soon mate, it feels like it's been a while.

As a bit of good news, after a bit of elbow grease from me, and some funny coloured paper things that the locals call money, the beast is back on the road. The right hand side lower fairing has seen better days but the bike goes on a straight line, it has new front tires and brakes, a new lever and bracket. If I can manage I will take a picture of it later on. Right, now off to ride a bit more of those australian roads that sarah keeps rambling on about.

Make up your mind Raf, are you going riding or rambling ? :P

Good to see you are feeling better about it all, and as Jester says, offs on trackdays dont really count.

See ya when you get back
