Scorpion end can will make no difference to anything. However the BMC filter might, I have no idea how that filter flows compared to stock. IMO I would either expect to rejet after chaging filters unless I knew that it was just as restrictive as stock.

p.s why did you fit an iris chain?

No ive got a scorpian can on and a bmc filter fitted... the thing is its restricted to 33bhp so would a rejet be worth doing as when i get the restrictor out surely id have to rejet again??

The Iris was at a good price and IMO its been great took a while to bed in but now its been great... Its the Iris X - Ring gold chain, ive heard people on here have had a few problems but i cant say ive had any... Not had to adjust it since its been bedded in and i regularly check it and also have a scottoiler fitted so that also helps... Its been a good IMO.

Nah 33bhp doesn't affect jetting.

I'd advise putting a stock filter on it, waste of time freeing up the breathing with 33bhp.

I have no idea what the BMC road filter is like.

How long have you got before the restrictors can be legally removed? If it were another year and you were thinking of doing a lot of miles, I think I would fit a standard air filter for now and put the BMC one in and rejet when your restriction is up.

Also just had a Renthal Rear and front sprocket and an Iris X ring chain put on bout 500 miles back id say at an estimate.

What else would you say is needed to be done at this amount of miles?
Its got a foam filter, regular oil checks and just had a new filter (normal service) and brake pads are fine etc what else would you guys say is a "priority"?
Blimey, my bike would need servicing agin by October

Yup that's the sensible course of action.

I did the opposite

I reckon it's liberated a little more torque low down, obviously the top end is still non -existent. Nowhere near worth it based on how much fercooking around it was.

So would a stock filter work better with a restricted bike rather than the bmc???

I use my bike daily to and from college and work and also social, the restriction comes off next october so still another year yet.

I've got no idea. How does the BMC flow?

Well it runs fine but i just have an annoying backfire on down changes and thought having the carbs balanced would eliminate this.... but im going to check the exhaust joints today with exhaust paste to see if theres any holes in the joins.... however could this maybe related to the filter or not??
