Hi TheStudent - Tom?

RIP The Rider.

I was also there last night, and had also just arrived, 2 blue SV's me and my Brother, parked up at the Back of the pub.

Our 1st time at stormy, as you Tom, the most Shocking event ever witnessed.

The ride home was Very slow, feeling Dazzed.

My thoughts go out to his Family

As already said i like watching stunts as much as anyone but the public road aint the place because they are putting others in danger hes not the first and he sure wont be the last sadly. I feel sorry for the cage driver who has to live with those images for the rest of his life for no fault of his own. as for the guy on the bike well RIP i guess but i feel more sorrow for bikers when its been through no fault of there own unfortunately this guy had a big hand in his own demise. When will people learn eh.

I have to agree. It also looks bad on biking as a whole, yet another statistic to throw at us & make our lives more difficult.

We too had quite a slow ride back, not really too with it. :S I do hope it doesn't put you off though, as i say, normally it is one of the high points of my weeks and is quite a giggle. Shame things went so horribly last night.

Fair enough points I suppose, but people do do dangerous things everyday inside and outside motorcycling, just a shame he was one of the unlucky ones.

Very sad and awful for anyone to be a witness to, pity the poor car driver too, through no fault of his he will have this in his mind for the rest of his life, it wasn't the only accident there last night, a pan european rider was taken out on the roundabout by a driver who didn't stop but was collared later, he was arrested for being drunk and not stopping. I hope this doesn't mean the end of the stormy meets but will almost certainly lead to a greater police presence and possibly some traffic calming measures along this stretch of road. Having been to the stormy a few times and seeing the antics of some riders this was an accident that was going to happen sooner or later. Now it has the meet will undoutedly not be the same again but hopefully a lot safer.

RIP the rider and condolences to those he has left behind.

Daryl.
