the red light is on but it doesnt say FI on it. how do u bypass a clutch switch. sorry thanks for the help

Clutch switch, just take the connector off the bottom of the switch and stick a bit of wire between the terminals.

See there for how to put it in dealer mode, that'll tell you if there's a fault code stored. Not sure the light alone indicates a fault, is "chec" displayed?

If you've not got an FI warning, and the red light isn't flashing, it's not the tip over sensor or anything else remotely serious. Kill switch or clutch switch are the likely culprits, providing you're in neutral. If it starts in neutral then dies when you put it in gear then it's the side stand switch.

Tenner says it's in gear

Have you got a neutral light on the dash? Have you tried moving the clutch lever up and down a bit (a lot) to see if it's in gear?

I speak from experience......
