I used suzukis own insurance, forget the name but sure someone here will know, suzuki dealer recommended them and they were the cheapest by far and noone could match it. Probably go up when I go to renew it though

I had a quote of £9999.00 for a Gixer thou a year or two ago - as mentioned above, it's simply the equivalent of declining to quote.

It was by far the least daft quote I've had though. The two that stand out were for a non-running 1983 CG125 and a Ducati 900 Monster. The CG was two years ago after I'd had an accident and a spot of legal trouble - Ebike quoted me 2300 quid. The Ducati was back when I was about 23 and had just flogged a load of share options so I was looking to buy something new for about 7 grand. The only, and I mean *only* quote I could get was from Ducati's own insurance scheme, who would only quote full comp, and they wanted 8 grand.

It puts the 1300 quid I paid to insure a new ZXR400 a couple of years later in perspective really.

sonovabitch!!!

just submitted a quote via confused.com for a laugh - exactly the same as my SV details except for a K6 GSX-R1000 worth six grand, cheapest quote...

£488 from "Simply Insurance" - FC with a £350 excess

i got quoted more than that for my SV when i first bought it

most expensive was CIA at a whopping £5142.63

Damn! I'm 20 now with no NCD (passed last year)- probably why... That's a very good price though.
