C'mon guys i dont think anyone on here is seriously suggesting that we bring any actual harm to this person but i for one am glad to know what 1 of the hundreds of active bike theives looks like and some of his MO.

Now if i see him or anyone wearing a similar lid while riding a pushbike i'll be sure to be a bit weary.

I think this is a very helpfull thread in fact.

In a modified way it would be helpful

ie - Extract the photo's and information from the quoted post and use them

But its the "If you see him about - please do say "hello" in whatever way you see fit." comment which is frankly out of order.

you're all way too nice over here

this forum has WAY more users than the KTM forum, and they've had a bike go missing about once a week for the past few months in london, essentially the same group of scrotes doing it and this guy is a big factor

of course i'd never say "go beat him up" - but if one of the soho bikes was disappearing each week i doubt there'd be many people on here who'd be sorry if he had an "accident"

i didn't post this thread to start some hysterical witch hunt, you're adding 2 + 2 to get 5 - i posted it so if one of you sees this guy screwing with a bike, or scouting around with his "gang" - you can think "****, that's jimmy tan, better keep an eye on him" or call the met

delete it if you want, but don't moan when he has one of yours and you didn't recognise him scouting your bike bay the day before...

I agree with the Wolf here, i dont think that comment is out of order taking into account who made it and thier feelings towards this little scroat.

Some may see fit to say hello by shaking his hand vigourously and giving him a knowing look, other might see fit to shake him by the neck.

Neither the OP, Wolf or I are suggesting you do the former or the latter so please dont go getting all concerned over nothing SK

I never said I had an issue with the concept of this guy having an "accident".

What I DO have an issue with is a not very veiled incitement to assault being on the .org

I just wanted to re-iterate the feelings that while some people might want to kick his **** its nothing to do with the forum.

Whilst I also agree that the police should do more, and the law should do more to protect innocent people, I would kick someone's **** (or have a bloody good go) if I found someone trying to take my bike. I think anyone would.

I also agree this thread is helpful in identifying a known theif, and allows us to be more weary and reminds us all to have some security on our machines when we park up in london
