They do meter in oil (working like a very weak 2-stroke mix) but day-2-day driving barely uses any oil, I.e. I did a tour of scotland last month, 3000miles, and she used about a litre. 1 day round brands hatch - on the other hand... 100 miles, 55litres of fuel and 2 litres (a sump) of oil ![]() |

My mate's knackered old R1 did 75 miles round Rockingham earlier this year, 20 litres of fuel and 4 litres of oil. He binned it in spectacular fashion on that day, and on rebuilding it I discovered the top steering head bearing would rattle around in the headstock. He broke the bike for spares.

From what I gather the latest version is lacking as much as the EP3 in driving terms - missing the fully independent suspension, LSD, Recaros, DOHC motor that the DC2 ITR and ATR have. That said, I've driven various current Civics for extended periods of time, and the 2.2 Type S (diesel ![]() ![]() I'd quite like to try an FD2 Civic (import only, annoyingly) to replace the ATR, but I don't like the idea of running an import. NSX here we come ![]() |
