Do you acknowledge other riders?

I`ll always acknowledge other bikes........ even when i`m driving the temptation to nod is still there!

Nodded at a bike cop yesterday, only out of guilt, honest, as I went into a favourite roundabout a little hot and am pretty sure he would have seen the wee bitty of law breaking what I had done.

I give a wave or a leg going past folk or the usual other direction.

There are that few bikes out up here that when you do see someone else its yer new best mate.

as most really i always give a nod...to other riders.....police bikers.....even instructors.....anyone on a bike really (not ped bois!)


its about 50/50 on who nods first....although sometimes i dont get a nod back and think what a **** to myself....(ok i say it outload inside my helmet...dont we all?!)

I do that all the time... thought I had tourettes this morning..

Can't say I acknowledge ped riders much... not unless they acknowledge me first.

I will almost always give a tilt to a passing rider unless I'm mid corner or something so I'm concentrating.

sometimes you don't get a nod back but that's life i guess

as most as you come into the start of london, then i dont bother saying hi, but on the way how 95% of my trip is motorway, so i dont really get see others apart from when your stoping them from overtaking a police car in the outside lane,

As pillion I will acknowledge others and thank other drivers etc if Phil doesn't first. And il nod to other riders.
I occassionaly get the odd nod when im on the 125 but not too often.
No harm in being polite!

I always nod, and especially to young scooter riders, as I remember being a learner and excited when I did get a nod. My daughter is going to get her first 50cc in March, and I know she'll want to be acknowledged.

Oh, and I do acknowlege cops on bikes, and they always acknowlege back!! (though they'll never do it first, bless them!)

the leg waving thing is new to me, lol some one did it few months back dint have a clue wot he was doing; not sure i can master that, a nod is so much eaiser or a wave lol

Over the summer when I was learning there was hardly a bike on the road that didn't give us a nod or a wave, made me feel like one of the gang already, despite my L plates

Best one tho was when we were stopped at the side of the road and 3 riders got stopped at traffic lights so they were alongside us, visors went up, nods and thumbs up from them all, lights changed to green and the one at the back stalled as his friends pulled away. Poor bloke was mortified in front of us learners and just shook his head, made me feel a whole lot better tho cos it wasn't just learners that do that kind of thing!
