bit of hairdryer to soften the glue and half a wooden clothespeg or a wooden spatula to prise it off without scratching the paint.

ps. some of the astras will have small posts on the badges so will leave small holes in the bootlid on removal.

"Get it wet, get it warm"

Hot water, hot air gun, then use something like a stanley blade wrapped in cloth to get behind the adhesive backing. If there's any glue left behind, use lighter fluid or methylated spirits to loosen the adhesive and wipe away. If there's any marks left behind use some polish like t-cut or mer to rub them away.

Bosh.

Then go buy yourself some aftermarket chrome plated lettering and re-badge for that oh-so-chavy effect
