I used to tdo that ride (cambridge - sandy - woburn -aylesbury - thame - oxford) at 5am every monday morning. Done it in snow, fog ice... Just go for it. its a nice ride and not too technical. 23mph is fine. Just expect the odd gust, so stay in the centre of your lane on dual caridgeway past bedford. It is pretty exposed and you get some quite strong cross winds there.

As the wind is supposed to be southish I am looking forward to a little push, it'll help with the short run from Banbury to home
