Bike buying is on hold until early spring, I'm hoping the credit crunch/recession will lower 2nd hand bike prices

Holland is good so far, been here almost a week and have drunk too much beer so far!

Yeah its just like a little mental block.

As I was saying on the day, just forcing myself to do tight corners properly and ride on really helped I think.

I screwed up a corner on Sutton bank on the way to the Catherine wheel, ended jumping off/dropping it.
No problem like, crash bung took the fall with just a few dents/scrapes in it. The can got a little scuff that will rub out easy aswell.

Jumped back on no problems.

But for the first half of the day, every little tight corner.. Similar to the one I binned it on I just froze and thought, oh crap... Wont make it.
Ran wide several times until I forced myself to take them and build the confidence again.

Was fine by lunch time.

I just realised you've got to look at it pre-crash.
Remember you can corner, and have umpteen times before without incident.

Ofcorse you've got a bit of a bigger incident to work past.

Mat thats probably the best bit of advice anyone has given, and its something you dont really think about, despite it being blindingly obvious. I guess its just the realisation of how wrong things can go if they do.

How close are you to getting back on a bike?
