So theres no under seat storage?
I certainly dont want anything bigger than 750cc but was trying to keep away from sportsbikes, notably the gixxer6 because I want something more upright where I dont have to feel like caning it everywhere. KTM 690SM and Aprilia Pegaso Strada are my other 2 choices at the moment but the KTM lets itself down due to the small tank. The Strada is a lazy option where speed wont come into it. Supposed to be good fun though |

Mr Chester,
Just thought you'd beinterested 'Fast Bike' have a naked 600 shoot out in this months mag. (I'm usually a Ride / Bike man, but this took my notice) As you can guess, Street came tops, Monster 696 2nd the review of the shiver mimics all that I have mentioned, some that i didnt. I have restored faith in journelists! worth the read if this is the market you are looking at! |

Ian, im just a bit concerned that any sort of lengthy trips (I plan to get in quite a few BSB rounds next year if possible) and tours (Scotland will definitely be done again next year and possibly a trip to Assen) will be hard work on the Street due to the lack of lugging capacity and the absence of any weather protection. This is why I have a few bikes on the shortlist which arent all in the same category so to speak

Yeah, shnap!
I have 2 plans, just get a proper sports tourer (SV1000, Sprint ST, VFR etc) Or get the fun mini naked, and keep the rapidly-becoming high milage SV for the touring.... Or just keep the SV. have you looked into BMW's yet?? ![]() until a bike litterally falls into my lap I think the SV is staying. Btw, when touring if it is likely they the average speed will be legal. I dont see lack of fairings being a problem, tho luggage will be. |

Tim I would say likely the WSB as theres a more competitive British interest.
On the Dorsoduro, its only got a 12L tank which means fill ups every 100 miles. It looked quite practical with a decent seat until I found that out. Its the same reason why the 690SM has now dropped down my shortlist (14L tank) |
