Does unluckybikers SV look good? haha sorry to name and shame but I'm thinking of going up and having a look very soon...do aftermarket parts etc. add to the value? Because from looking around now.... a V reg Curvy shouldnt be more than 1400? what u reckon?

Now obviously http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=124054 is much tartier than a standard SV of the same age (and probably lower mileage!) but theres best part of £400 squids different. Is this justified?

By the sounds of it the point sound better value for money (ouch it hurts to say that) a t reg curvey (1999) with 25k on it must be in imaculate condition to sell for 2 grand. i bought my w reg curvey privately in good nic for only 1600 and that had 18k on it.

my curvy is a 99 7000 on clock in mint condition just over a year ago £1500 go for the pointy

I bought my first bike privately because i wanted the warranty (i dunno what i'm doing), also you tend to get a full mot and some tax. If you can get that service and MOT done when you buy, i shouldn't see a problem.

But yeah go private if you can, you'll get a better bike with a better deal, and maybe some mot or whatever included.

Hi and welcome from another newb!
I'm 6'5" with 35/36" inside leg and have a curvy s.
I find the riding position quite comfortable, although I wouldn't know any different as it's my first bike! I wouldn't worry about it being too small for you though. Quite a few people told me an SV was way too small for me before I bought it, but I love it and havn't looked back
BTW I bought my 2000w last year privately with 19,000 miles, very good condition for £1000, so there are bargains to be had.
