The new R1 looks....odd. Some parts shrunk in the wash, others stayed the same size (or so it looks).

But thats missing the point; for me, the R1 is one of the most interesting production machines of recent times with the un-even firing order of the new engine. I may see if I can get a test ride on a current r1, and then the new r1, just to see what the differance of the engine with a differing firing order would be. I look forward to watching its progress in racing aswell.

Me too, along with others (BMW and Aprilia) should make for some interesting racing.

Like the GSXR and 999 I reckon it will look a lot better as a race bike than it does as a road bike.

The R1 isn't exactly easy on the eye but that sound, man, that sound.

I mostly like the new R1's looks, especially in white and red. The front end and side rofile is good, nice deep scoop around the front lights. The back end is ugy though The exhaust heat deflectors are rank though, shoulkd have gone for a stubby like with the R6, could have done 1 either side or two on the right. I want one though

the new r1 look's like an interesting bike like to have a go as it promises to be a good road bike(don't know how true that is mind) the buell still look's like a wobbler not interested at all also like the new 09 zx6r that look's like a hoot of a bike.

I sort of like the R1 but it's cartoony... The 05 model is still teh best looking. The Buell... Well...
