Potential, sure, but potential fraud and fraud are not the same thing. I was discussing something similar (double life insurance) with a mate who's a barrister working in insurance the other day.

The amendments are only going to cost £36.30 as the insurance is being dropped down to TPFT anyway. I am dropping the insurance down regardless as I wont be commuting on the bike anymore.

Is there any reason Lily couldn't take a Direct Access test so she doesn't need to be restricted? I presume she has already passed her A2 test so surely the full test wouldn't be too much of an issue for her?

Tricky... any chance you could find a few hundred quid and get lily a bike of her own again...

I bet you could pick up a cheap curvy SV for not much cash at the moment. Still spending out money though I guess which is what you're trying to avoid.

Cheers for the words guys, but just had a long chat with Lily.......

Financially we can't really afford to do much at the moment, due to our wedding coming up. Hence the reason for selling her bike so soon on the first place.

Therefore Lily has agreed (although she is not happy) that we will carry out the changes with just me on the policy and will keep our eyes open for a 125 towards the end of the year which she could use up till her restricted licence ends, will then look at getting her unrestricted bike of her choice next summer.

Its a sad day as we didn't envisage this problem. I am seriously cheesed off and want to bash the insurance companies heads!!!!

Drew- Its a lose/ lose situation

I don't want you to have to ride a rescrited bike! And that is what the insurance company is looking for!

Drop it down, change the address etc, have the rebate!

You know my views on the SV and what i don't like about it and what i do........ and you also know what bike I want!

Only got 18 months left!

One other option...... have a cheaper wedding! I guess Lily wouldn't thank me for that suggestion though.

I know, just wanted you to have the chance to enjoy this summer and take a more active part in the AR.

I want to run away where no one can find us and have the wedding. But parents (both set's) wouldn't thank you for that suggestion!

Go on tell us what you want.

Drew - what about just letting your policy run and then finding another insurance company once renewal time comes up.

I dont see how the FI Internal kit makes any difference, its still removable so you could in theory still swap that on and off, just takes a bit longer.
