Well done!
I can imagine the check will mostly be for your eyes (they dont want someone blind drving the train). Im sure it will be quite basic since you dont need to be particularly fit to drive a train.
Maybe they will test your pee for drugs? Unlikely though...

I want to be a train driver! It's a cool job, decent pay and plenty of holidays when you splat someone. Good luck

Why not call and ask them? I'm sure they will tell you.

A friend of mine was given a job in the Hertfordshire Police. Had a start date for training and everything. Then failed the medical. Don't count your chickens too quickly. But congratulations on getting through the selection.

I know someone who drives a big choo choo. He is often spot checked for drugs in his system and i think its a 1 strike and your out scenario.

Good luck and remember you can turn up at work upto 45minutes late and have no consequences.....well thats what they say about the delayed trains.

Are you prepared to deal with suicide jumpers on the tracks? It happens VERY often. My dad has been on the train twice when it has happened just from commuting to work, and he doesnt normally take a train. Driving one all the time its bound to happen.
