KK ill get them out in the morning if it still isn't playing ball. What should i be looking for (obviously colour and spark) as a general reason for it stopping so suddenly??

have you checked the yellow/black wire on the coils ? under tank had the same problem myself . if rev counter ok will be right hand on as you sit on bike , if rev counter not working will be on the left . hope this makes some sense

Not quite sure what you mean by that?? Are the wires under the air box?? am i looking for wear through the wires or where they connect?

Hmmm maybe a big air leak, airbox popped loose, carb balance port cap split etc.

The light had just started flashing but not gone solid, dont tell me its because it was getting low??
