i vote for northys route. reason being that some attendees will have ridden 400+ miles the day before to get there so will be a bit tired..

this also gives folk the choice of going for a 'mini' run after T.

its all very well for us 'natives' doing huge mileage. we dont have a large return journey home at the end of GM II.

My 2d worth

Do the route you've already planned without looking at another possible, the reasonings are

You know it and so do more than a few others
You know how long it will take (give or take the odd diesel mishap etc)
You know where to sort out for food and other stops
You know the range of the bikes and fuel stops

Thinking about another route will involve someone going out, timing it, work out stops, arrange a main food stop, more stress than you need

...and then someone else diesels their bike instead, and I have to kill them. oh, and anyone needing jump starts this year will have their bike set on fire.
