I know how you feel mate, I have to work every weekend and its near enough impossible for me to get out of it!

It kills me when I look out of the window at work to see my bike sat there and having loads of other bikers passing by.

Hovie baby....just tell them that you've been doing this Shift pattern for too long now. How about this:-

"My reason for requesting this change is that over the time that I have been working these Sunday shifts, my relationships with both family and friends has deteriorated as I am always unable to join in and socialise at get togethers and events. It has come to the point where my only real interraction with friends and family is via the internet and I don't believe that living this way is very healthy.
I would like to be able to turn to someone and say yes when I am invited out on a weekend and not have to constantly let people down and be alone at work.
I hope that you will understand this and in order to facilitate this change, I have already found a colleague willing to take on the shift in question."

DOn't know if that's what you're after, but it's the truth!!!

Lol......not if you want to lie, but as you ask......what are you normal working hours......ie. through the week and weekends, do you ever get Sundays off and what is it that you do?

I work in the motorway service station on the M1.

I have to work long hours at weekends generally start at ten in the morning and im lucky if i can get out at 7 or 8pm.

I never have sundays off, however they say you can opt out of sundays but im not sure what criteria you must fulfil.
