IAC valve is a culprit if fitted. Probably best to check all the sensors when it does go wrong and see what the ECU is actually saying, but I've got no idea how much data you can get out of it. So probably best it's gone in under warranty.
Now if you had carbs on it...

On a bright note I have asked for a new blade as a courtesy bike......hope it doesn't prove too nice.
Wonder if it is a common fault? Tks YC |

Right - Dropped her off last Tuesday evening for a Weds look at it by them.
No courtesy bike available, so I struggled by car for the rest of the week, called them Friday and they hadn't looked at it so I arranged a courtesy bike pick-up for Saturday, which suited me. Called them again earlier to find out what was going on as I was starting to worry it was something bad, just got the call back to say they couldn't find the fault and that just to be sure they had reset the ECU setting, which were already at factory default, so that will just be a small charge of £32 something. Erm, no "it's under warranty mate". Eventually came back to me to tell me that if no fault is found it is then chargeable, but on this occasion they will waive the charge and I can pick the bike up whenever I want. It could just be bad fuel or something? What do the mighty all-knowing org think? |
