Earlier SuperDuke`s are fetching around the 5k mark in dealers (maybe a couple of hundred less) , they have the 950 engine and MAY have carbs as well , can`t remember exactly , not a lot of difference in the engine apparently apart from a wee bit extra poke in the mid range . I`m often in Colwyn Bay Motorcycles and pop into "KTM Korner" for a look at what is occuring ....... not quite ready to part with the cashola just yet , if somebody did a 22 Litre tank for it I would be a very very happy Badger

My heart lies with Supermoto and has done since I owned my first KTM , I will revisit that land once again in the near future , albeit with a gnarlier engine that can do some long distance with ease and still give me the giggles in the bends .

Out of my price range unfortunately. Then again I couldn't get insured for a couple of years anyway. Can dream though

Ok just found out they do the "R" in White as well , I have just sighed in a resigned manner and now know that I am going to have to hunt for one of these in a couple of years time

They were offering a deal a year or so ago with Akrapovic cans that had been de-catted as well as the standard ones are on the restrictive side so if the OP hunts around he can easily get one of these with the cans done and the ECU sorted for them , IIRC they were the best part of a grand for the Triangle shaped Akra system .

Superduke R...

Pant wettingly tasty

Ball crushingly uncomfortable

Seriously, the seat is plastic, not cushioned...

edit: 950 engine is carcbs, 990 is EFI in all cases

I`m pretty sure that if you loved a bike so much you could find a way around the seat issues , personally I seem to have an Iron Butt and find the standard SV seat to be comfortable . Somebody out there is bound to do an alternative seat . And who sits on their balls anyway ?

No seriously, the SV seat has padding, the SDR would be like riding sitting on the fuel tank!!!

Some members over at the ktm form have retrofitted the normal SD seat onto the R but it's not a straight swap, i think you need to change the tail piece or hack around with a dremel
