You seem ok so that's really what matters. How bad is the car?

yeah I'm fine, was driving along in my lane car coming towards me swerves round a parked car and into my lane/my car. don't remember much about the accident really, spoke to her today and her point was I can't believe u didn't see me. insurance FYI
my side think it should be pretty simple,I'll believe it when user it,but I do have a courtesy/hire car coming tomorrow,so all good.

car is def a write off, fair ammount of front end damage and with the airbags going off it'll def be a write off considering the value of it! just glad I had the bike for getting to work.

I can't believe how much emphasis is put on personal injury claims tho. every person I have spoken to from the insurance have pushed to see if I want a claim put in. am I wrong to think a sore cheast and shoulder from an accident is acceptable? I know there's no damage done,so I'm not claiming!

Personal Injury claims are where they all make their money from, which is why they push it.

re: personal injury claims, i've just had a call from my insurer regarding an accident i had in jan. The other insurance company has offered £1100 for my injury, even though i was very honest and described it accurately and didn't expect nor want any payment for it. Basically it was a bruised leg - some nice colours but it didn't stop me doing anything and i stated such. All i actually want is my now scuffed kit replacing, as it was pretty new.

Anyway glad you are ok. I think i would describe your injuries but just be honest. Hope the insurance sorts everything out quickly.

Now I used to agree that claiming was a bad thing until I had my old car written off by someone running in the back of it.I wasnt injured and made no claim for same, but then I got naff all money for the car because it was old.It cost me time and effort to search for a replacement and no way was I compensated for it.I say make a small claim for minor injuries and justify it to yourself as compo for the grief you will endure sorting all this mess out.
