hmmm, wish i had got this now, i opted for the Heine Gericke version instead which is ok, but you do need to use a sponge at the same time, may aswell just use normall shampoo. Will try it next time though!

If you want a cleaner for greasy bits and fling from chian lube on wheels then this is the best advice i can give.

Parrafin. Simple as that.

Sold at DIY shops as Parascene or similar brand names as fuel for outdoor burners. Comes in 5 litre bottles and costs about a fiver. I've had mine for nearly 4 yrs now and its still over half full!!!

Used neat with a small brush it takes seconds to remove any kind of greasyness. Dunno what its like on bodywork as i have another very cheap and cheerful trick for that.

Oh and if you wanna be really tight or recyle, try this. Pour parrafin into old jar that you still have lid for. Dip brush into this everytime its dirty to clean it and replenish parafin. Put jar to one side in kitchen/shed/garage/gf's underwear drawer wherever and in a fae days time all the gunk has settled to the bottom and you can pour out clean parrafin into new jam jar and repeat.

Easy and so cheap!

£15 for a bottle of cleaner is madness if you ask me. Thats more than a tank of fuel ffs and i know i can have far more fun out of a tank of fuel than i'd get from a cleaner

Of course you can have more fun from a tank of fuel, but anything that makes the cleaning of my bike easier is worth every penny to me.

Arcdef if you're expecting not to have to use a sponge with this stuff you're very much wrong. And what you say is true, you may as well use a shampoo.

Tbh I find that, when using it on my Dad's Tiger.. a brush on the wheels/grimey areas, otherwise just needed a few minutes and a strong jet blast.. all sorted.

yeh dont get me wrong, i'm no Kwak who actually enjoys the act of cleaning but point i was making is that i bet you get the same results with the parrafin. I almost guarantee it tbh. And the fact you can re-use it makes it even more lovely to me. The £15 cleaner in a bottle will just get washed off and down a drain, right?

Not sure that a jet wash is a very good idea on a bike!

I used it today and am well impressed. The chain cleaner is also amazing, looks like a new chain.
